Cox’s Bazar, August 16, 2024: Train services have resumed in Cox’s Bazar after a 27-day suspension due to security concerns stemming from unrest related to the anti-discrimination student movement. The return of train operations has brought much-needed relief to passengers.
The Cox’s Bazar Express departed for Dhaka at 12:30 PM today, marking the first journey since the suspension. Golam Rabbani, station master of Cox’s Bazar’s iconic railway station, confirmed the resumption of services.
