The Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigosthi, the country’s largest grassroots cultural organization, celebrated its 56th anniversary with a vibrant cultural gathering in Cox’s Bazar. Under the slogan “Without humanity, you risk losing yourself”.
The evening, held at Cox’s Bazar Municipality premises, was filled with songs, poetry, and discussions.
The program opened with songs performed by the Cox’s Bazar District branch of Udichi.
The event was emceed by Jahidul Haque Sumon, the district’s Assistant General Secretary of Udichi.
Speakers included Karim Ullah Kalim, an organizer from Khelaghar and General Secretary of Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA), as well as Ashutosh Rudra, President of Udichi’s Cox’s Bazar District chapter, and Sourav Deb, the General Secretary. Recitations were performed by Vice President Choton Das.
Udichi’s music division presented a diverse range of musical performances to celebrate cultural plurality, including ghazals, Shyama Sangeet, Lalon songs, Bhawaiya, and popular protest songs.
