Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi, the country’s largest mass cultural organization, has brought the Basanta Utsab (Spring Festival) to Cox’s Bazar Government College for the first time. 

The festival featured music, dance, and poetry, transforming the college campus into a vibrant cultural hub. Students participated enthusiastically, celebrating the arrival of spring with joy and creativity.

The festival kicked off on Tuesday (February 18) at 11:30 AM on the college’s open stage.

Masfikur Rahman Tayef, convener of Udichi’s Cox’s Bazar Government College unit, presided over the event. Choton Das, Vice President of Udichi Cox’s Bazar district unit; Sourav Deb, General Secretary; Md. Absar, the Organizing Secretary, member Abdur Rashid Manik, and other cultural activists were also present.

Speaking about the event, convener Masfikur Rahman Tayef and member secretary Tanvir Kashem Anik stated that there had been little cultural activity at Cox’s Bazar College since the uprising of 2024. Their initiative aimed to reignite cultural expression and promote pluralism through the spirit of spring.
