With the theme “Run for Heroes of Our Victory,” a half marathon will be held along Cox’s Bazar’s stunning Marine Drive on December 28 in honour of Victory Day. The event will be organized by the Cox’s Bazar District Administration and the Bangladesh Army (10 Infantry Division), in association with the District Sports Association and the Cox’s Bazar Runners Community.

The event aims to commemorate the nation’s war heroes while showcasing Cox’s Bazar’s breathtaking natural beauty.

The race will cover 21 kilometers from Vanghar More Beach Point, Marine Drive (Baily Hatchery More), to the helipad in front of Hotel Baywatch at Inani Beach. The marathon will start at 06:45 AM and conclude by around 11 AM, with a maximum completion time of 4 hours. The reporting time for the runners is 05:40 AM at the venue.

Runners must register by December 24 through  https://forms.gle/x9LGiUNWAaiNsLnM8, and participation is free.

Registered runners will receive a custom race T-shirt, a finisher medal, snacks, hydration, a kit bag, and a certificate. Water stations, hydration corners, medical booths, and ambulance services will be available along the route. 

The half marathon will offer attractive cash prizes and honorary medals in various categories for regular participants (age 18-45 years, men/women); the champion will get Tk50,000, 1st runner-up Tk30,000, 2nd runner-up Tk20,000, and honorary medals for the top 4th-10th finishers. There will be special recognition awards for Master Category (Age 45-59 years, men/women).

The organizers invited runners from across the country and beyond to join the run for this unique event. Run along the beautiful Marine Drive, surrounded by hills and the sea, while feeling the rhythm of the ocean waves.
