The Kit Collection Expo for the Victory Day Half Marathon, organized jointly by the Cox’s Bazar District Administration and the Bangladesh Army, occurred at Laboni Point on Cox’s Bazar Beach. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Yamin Hossain inaugurated the event on Friday (December 27).

At the inauguration, Yamin Hossain declared that all marathon preparations were complete. There will be 400 participants, comprising five international runners and 40 women. Members of the army, alongside civilian participants, will also participate in the race.

The marathon’s route spans 21 kilometers, starting from Vangar Muk (Exotica Sampan Point) along the Marine Drive Road and concluding at the helipad in front of Hotel Bay Watch in Inani. The event will commence at 6:30 AM and conclude by 10:00 AM.

To ensure a smooth and safe experience, the organizers have arranged comprehensive road security, traffic control, medical camps, and ambulances. The route and its endpoints will feature decorative setups and stages to captivate attendees.

Participants will receive an attractive T-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and an e-certificate if they complete the race within the stipulated four hours. Various points along the route will offer service booths, water stations, and hydration corners, while the finish line will serve refreshments.
