The youth-driven volunteer organization Tarunner Avijatrik marked its 7th anniversary with a vibrant celebration. The event featured a series of colorful programs on Friday (February 28) at 4 PM at the organization’s office in Kalur Dokan.
The celebrations began with reciting the Holy Quran, readings from the Bhagavad Gita and Tripitaka, and a musical performance. Volunteers Dipu Barua and Nazma Akter Marjan hosted the event, while Himel Barua Himu, the organization’s founder, presided over the program. General Secretary Jishu Ram Dey highlighted the organization’s journey, achievements, and prospects in his welcome speech.
Reflecting on the past seven years, Himel Barua Himu remarked, “We have faced many challenges, but our goal has always remained the same—to serve society and bring positive change through education and humanitarian support. We aim to expand our initiatives and work towards building an educated and compassionate community.”
Prominent guests at the event included Kaiser Hamid, founder of YASID; Mohammad Riaz, founder of Swapnotori; and Supon Barua, assistant teacher at Fatrazhiri Government Primary School. Members and well-wishers of the organization also attended the celebration.
As part of the anniversary program, six dedicated volunteers were honored for their active contributions throughout the year. The members shared their experiences and reaffirmed their commitment to working for the betterment of society.
The event concluded with a closing speech, emphasizing collective efforts for the organization’s growth. Finally, a cake-cutting ceremony marked the official celebration of Tarunner Avijatrik’s 7th anniversary.
