The 53rd National Winter Sports Competition at the district level has successfully concluded in Cox’s Bazar. The event, held at Bir Shreshtha Ruhul Amin Stadium, was organized by the National School-Madrasa and Technical Education Sports Association under the supervision of the District Education Office.
Mohammad Salahuddin, the Deputy Commissioner of Cox’s Bazar, attended as the chief guest and emphasized the importance of sports in shaping students into responsible citizens. The youth festival arranged various sports competitions in educational institutions to encourage active participation, he noted.
The event was presided over by Acting District Education Officer Mohammad Golam Mostafa. Additional Deputy Commissioner Nizam Uddin, former District Education Officer Nasir Uddin, and District Sports Officer Main Uddin Milki also addressed the gathering. Headmasters, assistant teachers, sports instructors, district education officials, and students from different upazilas participated in the event.
Following the competitions, prizes were distributed among the winners. A total of 32 events featured participants from nine upazilas in Cox’s Bazar district.
