As sweltering heat grips the country, thousands of tourists are thronging Cox’s Bazar sea beach in search of relief. Even at midday, the beach remains crowded with visitors soaking in the waves to escape the soaring temperatures.
To beat the heat, many are diving into the sea, enjoying a refreshing swim at the Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points of the beach. On Thursday afternoon, the entire shoreline was buzzing with activity as travelers from across the country sought comfort in the ocean breeze and cool waters.
“We came to Cox’s Bazar hoping for some relief, but it’s scorching hot everywhere,” said one tourist. “Taking a dip in the sea feels absolutely wonderful in this heat. Plus, the safety measures are impressive—lifeguards are keeping a close watch and blowing whistles if anyone ventures too far.”
With heatwaves likely to continue, the sea remains a popular—and much-needed—sanctuary for locals and tourists alike.
