Cox’s Bazar municipality had launched a significant cleanup drive in and around key tourist areas, including city drains, to improve sanitation and ease public suffering. The long-neglected drain running from Laboni Sea Beach to Holiday Intersection—once filled with garbage and emitting foul odour—had made walking along the footpath unbearable for tourists.
