Cox’s Bazar is all set to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Azha tomorrow, joining Muslims across the country in marking Islam’s second-largest religious festival. The district administration and law enforcement agencies have implemented special security measures to ensure a peaceful celebration.

The main Eid congregation in Cox’s Bazar will be held at the central Eidgah field at 7:30 AM. A second congregation will follow at the same venue at 8:30 AM.

The Eidgah, managed by the municipal authority, can accommodate around 20,000 worshippers. An additional large congregation will also be held in the field of Baitush Sharaf Jame Mosque at 8:00 AM.

Apart from these, Eid congregations at mosques throughout the town—including Badr Mokam, the Sadar Upazila mosque, and other local mosques—will be held between 8:00 and 9:00 AM.

Local authorities have assured that all necessary arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of prayers.
