World Population Day was observed in Cox’s Bazar on Monday (14 July) with the theme “Empowering Youth for a Resilient and Equitable Future.”

The event, organized by the District Administration and the District Family Planning Office, featured a discussion session followed by a crest and certificate distribution ceremony. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Saiduzzaman Chowdhury attended as the chief guest, representing the Deputy Commissioner.

The event was presided over by Biplob Barua, Deputy Director of the District Family Planning Office. Special guests included Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammadul Haque, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nilufa Yasmin Chowdhury, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sharmin Sultana, District Education Officer Mohammad Golam Mostafa, and District Primary Education Officer Md. Shahin Mia, and Police Inspector Md. Shah Alam, among others.
