Cox’s Bazar celebrated the anniversary of the religious publication Dashabhuja with a series of festive events. On Saturday, the district Puja Committee office at Lal Dighi Par hosted a Gita recitation competition, a felicitation programme for distinguished personalities and meritorious students, and an award distribution ceremony.
Dashabhuja editor and journalist Balaram Das Anupam presided over the event, with Additional Superintendent of Police Ahmed Payar attending as the chief guest.
Speakers included Cox’s Bazar Municipal BNP Convenor Rafiqul Huda Chowdhury, Cox’s Bazar City College Principal Akhtar Chowdhury, District Jubo Dal President Advocate Saiyad Ahmad Ujjal, social worker Adnan Saud, District Puja Celebration Council President Uday Shankar Pal Mithu, District Janmashtami Celebration Council General Secretary Dolon Dhar, and Sadar Upazila Puja Celebration Council President Advocate Bappi Sharma.
The programme concluded with the distribution of awards to competition winners.
