The sea at Cox’s Bazar remains rough, prompting red flags to be hoisted along the beach. Yet, under the scorching heat, tourists flock to the waves, seeking relief in the saltwater. Most visitors are drawn to the main spots: Kolatoli, Laboni, and Sugandha.
Authorities have reminded tourists to follow safety guidelines when entering the water. According to Sea Safe Lifeguard, only designated swimming zones at the three points—marked with red-yellow or red flags—are under lifeguard supervision.
Bathing outside these areas could be risky, and tourists have been urged to comply with safety instructions.
“Conditions were slightly better yesterday, but today the sea is more unsettled with stronger waves. Everyone should remain cautious while swimming,” said Mohammad Osman, Supervisor and Senior Lifeguard at Cox’s Bazar Life.
Today’s low tide was at 9:08 AM, followed by high tide at 3:38 PM.
