Cox’s Bazar is not just a city of the sea—it is a city of stories and flavors. Here, the people, the ocean, and the food come together to create a rich coastal culture unlike any other.

To celebrate this unique blend of taste and tradition, Embolden Bangladesh and NexShikhon are organizing a special seafood festival titled “Sagorer Shad” (Taste of the Sea), with support from Ramada by Wyndham, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and Enroute.

The festival will take place on Friday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Ramada by Wyndham, Cox’s Bazar, and will be open to all visitors.

A Feast of the Coast, A Festival of Creativity

At Sagorer Shad, local entrepreneurs will present their innovative seafood creations—featuring fresh prawns, coral fish, crabs, lobsters, calamari, squid, and a wide variety of coastal delicacies.

Tourists will have the opportunity to experience new flavors inspired by the bounty of the Bay of Bengal.

Co-organizer Injamamul Haque said the festival aims to foster creativity and skill development among local entrepreneurs while promoting sustainable growth in the coastal economy.

“Through this event, participants will have the opportunity to directly engage with the coastal culture, culinary heritage, and entrepreneurial spirit that define this region,” he added.

Waves of Flavor and Joy

With the rhythmic sounds of the sea and the charming ambiance of Ramada, Sagorer Shad promises a full day of flavor, culture, and celebration.

Families, friends, and food lovers are invited to join this vibrant festival, where every dish tells a story of the coast and every flavor carries the warmth of its people.
