Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, a joint patrol led by the Bangladesh Army was conducted in the Eidgaon area to maintain law and order and ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election environment.

The joint patrol took place on Monday (10 February) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with participation from the civil administration, the Bangladesh Army, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), the Ansar, and the Bangladesh Police.

According to the army, the patrol covered key and vulnerable locations across Eidgaon Union, including Eidgaon Bazar, Islamabad, Pokkhal, and Jalalabad, as well as major roads and local marketplaces.

During the patrol, law enforcement officers engaged in cordial exchanges with local residents and briefed them on election security measures. The visible, coordinated presence of the joint forces helped build trust and confidence among the public, encouraging voters to exercise their voting rights peacefully.

Local sources said the joint patrol further strengthened law and order in the area and increased public awareness and confidence in the conduct of a free, fair, and peaceful election.

The army said regular joint patrols will continue in Eidgaon and other assigned areas, as needed, until the election process is completed.
