Voting in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum is underway in a peaceful atmosphere in Cox’s Bazar. 

During the polling, District Commissioner and Returning Officer Md A Mannan and Superintendent of Police A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman visited various polling centres across the district.

From the morning, they toured several important centres to observe the overall situation. During the visits, they closely monitored the law and order situation, security arrangements, management of the voting process, and voter turnout. 

Necessary instructions were provided to presiding officers, officials on duty, and members of law enforcement agencies to ensure that voting is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner.

Superintendent of Police A.N.M. Sajedur Rahman said that district police are performing their duties in the field with the highest level of alertness. 

He stated that the district police have taken adequate security measures to allow voters to cast their ballots freely, safely, and spontaneously. He also urged voters and all concerned to maintain discipline and follow the electoral code of conduct.

Meanwhile, voter turnout was visibly significant at the centres visited. With spontaneous participation by men and women in a festive atmosphere, the democratic exercise has become vibrant across Cox’s Bazar. 

The authorities expressed their hope that everyone’s cooperation would ensure a peaceful and orderly completion of the election.
