The island of Moheshkhali in Cox’s Bazar has long been known for its natural beauty. Among its growing attractions is the Adinath Shooting Bridge, a picturesque structure that stands amid green hills, open skies, and the island’s calm tidal waters.
Located near the historic Adinath Temple, the bridge earned the name ‘shooting bridge’ because it has frequently been used for filming scenes in dramas, films, and music videos.
Over time, however, it has evolved beyond a filming location into a popular tourist destination.
Surrounded by tidal canals and rows of mangrove-like Baen trees growing in saline waters, the area offers sweeping views of tranquil wetlands with green hills visible in the distance.
The scenery becomes particularly striking during sunrise and sunset when the changing colours of the sky reflect across the water.
People say that the changing light across the peaceful landscape creates a beautiful setting that attracts both photographers and nature lovers.
Every day, both local residents and tourists from different parts of the country gather at the bridge—some to capture photographs, others to enjoy the quiet beauty of nature, or spend time by the water.
Many young visitors also choose the spot for photography and for creating social media content.
Local resident and student leader Rahman Mizan said the Adinath Shooting Bridge had enhanced Maheshkhali’s tourism potential.
With the rise in tourist numbers, small businesses in the area have also begun to benefit, he added.
With its peaceful environment, scenic views, and natural surroundings, the Adinath Shooting Bridge is gradually making a place for itself on the tourism map of Cox’s Bazar.
Locals believe that with proper conservation and maintenance, the site could gain wider recognition as one of the country’s notable tourist attractions in the years ahead.
