Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed visited the Teknaf land port in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday (April 14) morning. He arrived at the port in the morning.

According to port authorities, officials welcomed the minister upon his arrival. He then visited the jetty, where he assessed the facility’s overall condition. He also toured the port area, inspecting warehouses, buildings, and operations.

The minister later went up to the port building to view the Naf River waters.

Mohammad Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, general manager (accounts) of United Land Port Limited, Teknaf, said the minister was briefed on the port’s activities during the visit. He was also informed about the suspension of operations due to the ongoing internal crisis in Myanmar.

Cox’s Bazar MPs Shahjahan Chowdhury and Lutfur Rahman Kazal, district council administrator ATM Nurul Bashar, and senior officials from the administration and Border Guard Bangladesh were present during the visit.
