The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations have begun simultaneously in Cox’s Bazar, with a total of 26,747 candidates participating at 54 centres across the district.

Candidates started entering examination centres from Tuesday morning. Entry gates were closed at 9:30am, and each candidate was thoroughly checked to ensure no digital devices or unfair materials were carried inside.

According to the district administration’s education wing, 18,198 SSC candidates are sitting at 32 centres, 7,118 Dakhil candidates at 14 centres, and 1,431 vocational candidates at eight centres.

To ensure a cheating-free environment, all examination rooms have been brought under CCTV surveillance. The Ministry of Education and the respective education boards monitor the cameras in real time.

Tasnim Jahan, additional deputy commissioner (education and ICT), said all necessary preparations had been taken to conduct the examinations in a fair and peaceful environment in line with the ministry’s directives.
