Despite adverse weather, tourists continue to flock to Cox’s Bazar Sea Beach, drawn by the dramatic beauty of the rough sea.

On Thursday (April 30), tourists were seen entering the water and enjoying the waves under an overcast sky. While some engaged in sea bathing, others stood at a safe distance, observing the powerful yet captivating form of nature.

A tourist said he was aware of the плохая weather but could not resist the urge to witness the turbulent sea up close, calling it a rare experience. Another visitor, a college student, said he understood the risks but was enjoying the view from a safe distance.

However, sea conditions remain unstable. Due to continued rough weather, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department has kept Local Warning Signal No. 3 in force for Cox’s Bazar sea port.

Assistant meteorologist Abdul Hannan reported that the district recorded 71 millimetres of rainfall in the 24 hours leading up to 6:00am on Thursday. He added that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue.

A senior lifeguard urged tourists to remain cautious and avoid entering risky zones, saying safety advisories are being announced regularly along the beach.
