After several days of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and rough weather, Signal No. 3 has been withdrawn from four major seaports in Bangladesh.
An official from the Meteorological Department in Cox’s Bazar confirmed the development, saying that ports in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra no longer need to display the cautionary signal.
The warning was issued on April 28 due to intensified pressure variations over the Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas, which led to rough sea conditions and prompted authorities to advise caution in vessel movements.
With weather conditions now improving, officials expect normal operations at the seaports to gradually resume.
