A delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency visited humanitarian operations for Rohingya refugees in Cox’s Bazar to observe ongoing assistance activities and gain a firsthand understanding of food support management in the camps.
During the visit, the delegation toured an e-voucher food outlet operated by the World Food Program.
Representatives observed how Rohingya families are receiving their monthly food assistance through the system with greater choice and dignity.
Officials informed the delegation that additional support arrangements are available for highly vulnerable families, allowing them to purchase fresh food products.
Part of these food supplies is sourced from local farmers, contributing positively to the local economy.
Relevant officials expressed gratitude to the JICA delegation for its continued humanitarian assistance and support for the Rohingya response.
