The Ramu Daria Khelaghar Asar of the national children and youth organisation Khelaghar observed its 74th founding anniversary on Friday with festive programmes for children in Ramu upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

With the theme “In the red and green Bangladesh, let children’s lives bloom with joy,” the day-long celebration was filled with vibrant participation from children.

The event was held at the organisation’s temporary office in Uttar Shrikul, featuring music, dance and recitation performances, informal gatherings with children, exchange of greetings on the anniversary, and a cake-cutting ceremony marking the occasion.

The programme was presided over by the president of Daria Khelaghar Asar Mina Mollik, while it was conducted by acting general secretary Deepak Barua.

The organisers said the organization’s core objective is to develop discipline, friendship, non-communal values, and leadership qualities among children through engagement in the arts, literature, and sciences.

Children took part in the programme with enthusiasm, and parents also joined the lively celebrations.
