Although the number of tourists in Cox’s Bazar has slightly declined due to the intense heatwave, those visiting the beach are still enjoying their holidays by diving into the salty seawater. Some tourists are riding jet skis to experience the beauty of the vast sea, while others are speeding along the sandy shore on beach bikes.

However, a group of young tourists drew special attention at Kolatoli Beach in Cox’s Bazar. After swimming in the sea, they engaged in a different kind of fun on the wet sand. Surrounding one of their friends, the group covered his entire body with sand, leaving only his head visible. The scene quickly turned into a moment of laughter, excitement, and celebration among the friends.

The unusual beach activity also attracted nearby tourists. Many stopped to take photos and record videos of the cheerful moment. According to the young visitors, such experiences with friends made their trip even more memorable despite the extreme heat.

Meanwhile, tourist arrivals in Cox’s Bazar have decreased compared to previous weeks due to the excessive heat. Those who are still visiting are mostly spending their time at the sea to escape the heat.

Lifeguards are continuing to work to ensure the safety of tourists. In addition, members of the Tourist Police Cox’s Bazar Region and executive magistrates from the district administration’s tourism cell are maintaining overall security in the beach area.

Senior lifeguard Mohammad Osman told Cox’s Bazar Life, “We are working at Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points to ensure the safety of tourists swimming in the sea. Red-and-yellow flags have been placed at the three points to mark safe swimming zones, and we are requesting everyone to swim only within those designated areas.”
