The scorching heat of the Bengali month of Joishtho has made life increasingly uncomfortable in Cox’s Bazar, with daytime temperatures and harsh sunlight significantly reducing tourist activity at the world’s longest sea beach.

However, as night falls, the beach is witnessing a growing presence of both locals and tourists, drawn by the comparatively cooler breeze.

Since evening, many families have been seen visiting popular beach points including Laboni, Sugandha, and Kolatoli. Some are strolling along the sandy shore, while others are simply enjoying the soothing sea wind.

“During the day, the heat is unbearable, making it difficult to go outside. At night, the weather becomes much cooler, so we came to the beach with family,” said local visitor Russell.

Another visitor, Rahim, said the nighttime atmosphere of Cox’s Bazar beach feels particularly pleasant. “The heat decreases at night, and it feels wonderful to spend time here,” he said.

Local business owners also reported that footfall increases significantly in the evening compared to daytime, helping improve business activity along the beachside areas.

With the shift in weather conditions, residents and tourists alike are increasingly heading to the shoreline after sunset. Consequently, Cox’s Bazar beach is gradually reviving at night.
