The intense summer heat and sweltering conditions of the Bengali month of Joishtho kept Cox’s Bazar sea beach largely deserted until midday. However, as the afternoon sun softened, tourists gradually began flocking to different points along the beach.
Hundreds of tourists arrived with family members and friends to enjoy the scenic coastline and refreshing sea breeze.
Tourists from home and abroad were seen enjoying the beach’s charming atmosphere, listening to the roar of the waves, and relaxing in the comparatively cooler weather. Some entered the sea for a swim, while others walked along the sandy shore or took photographs.
Hasib, a tourist visiting the beach, said the daytime heat had made it difficult to go outdoors.
“By the afternoon, the weather had become much more comfortable. Coming to the beach at this time feels refreshing,” he said.
Another tourist said the afternoon beauty of Cox’s Bazar was truly remarkable.
“Many people come here every day to enjoy the sunset view. The atmosphere in the evening is exceptional,” the visitor added.
Local business owners also said tourists’ presence begins to increase after the afternoon hours, bringing renewed activity to beach-centered businesses and trade.
