People’s representatives, district administration officials, and senior members of law enforcement agencies on Wednesday inspected the central Eidgah ground in Cox’s Bazar to review preparations for Eid-ul-Azha prayers.
The inspection was attended by Lutfur Rahman Kazal, Shamim Ara Swapna, Md A Mannan, ANM Shajadur Rahman, additional deputy commissioners, and other officials involved in the preparation works.
During the visit, the delegation reviewed the overall arrangements, renovation activities, and security measures at the Eidgah ground to ensure that worshippers can participate in the Eid congregations safely and comfortably. Necessary instructions were also provided to the officials concerned.
The administration said that the first Eid congregation at the Cox’s Bazar central Eidgah ground will be held at 7:30am on May 28, while the second congregation will take place at 8:30am.
Officials expressed hope that all preparations would ensure a safe, peaceful, and festive Eid celebration for residents of Cox’s Bazar.
