The Rohingya Response Team of Muslim Hands International – Bangladesh, Cox’s Bazar successfully implemented the Rohingya Qurbani 2026 Project, providing Qurbani meat to 683 vulnerable families from both the Rohingya refugee and host communities.
On 28 May 2026, Qurbani meat was distributed to 561 Rohingya families in Camp 8E, Cox’s Bazar. The following day, on 29 May 2026, 122 vulnerable host-community families from the Khurushkul, Choufaldandi, Bharuakhali, and PMkhali unions received Qurbani meat through the project. In total, 683 families benefited from this humanitarian initiative.
Throughout the implementation, strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety measures were maintained. All stages of the process, including slaughtering, meat processing, packaging, and distribution, were conducted in accordance with established standards. Proper waste management practices were also followed to minimize environmental and public health risks.
The project enabled vulnerable families to share in the joy and blessings of Eid-ul-Adha. For many households with limited access to animal protein year-round, the meat distribution provided an important nutritional benefit. The initiative also helped strengthen solidarity, compassion, and social cohesion between the Rohingya refugee and host communities.
By implementing this project with dignity, transparency, and respect, the Rohingya Response Team of Muslim Hands International – Bangladesh reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the most vulnerable people and ensuring that the spirit of Eid reaches those who need it most.
