A spell of heavy rain transformed Cox’s Bazar into a tranquil and picturesque town on Friday morning, as persistent showers washed the streets, trees and surrounding landscape.
The day began under thick, dark clouds, with steady rainfall continuing from dawn. The downpour may have slowed the city’s usual morning bustle, but it revitalized the natural surroundings, resulting in a calm and refreshing atmosphere.
Rain-soaked trees, cool breezes and the distant roar of the Bay of Bengal combined to produce a striking monsoon scene across the coastal town.
Despite the rain, many residents ventured outdoors for their morning walks. Some carried umbrellas, while others embraced the downpour, enjoying the refreshing weather. Many captured the rain-drenched scenery on their mobile phones.
Resident Hossain said the rain had continued uninterrupted since early morning.
“The persistent rainfall has made the town much calmer and more refreshing. The trees look fresh after the rain has washed them, and the cool breeze from the sea has made the morning especially pleasant. Cox’s Bazar is at its most beautiful during the monsoon,” he said.
The monsoon showers have added a distinctive charm to Cox’s Bazar, making rain-soaked mornings a special attraction for nature lovers.
