Farmers in different villages of Ramu upazila are busy preparing new betel leaf gardens and planting saplings. During a recent visit, families were seen working together, with some planting saplings while others watered the newly planted vines. Local farmer Habib Ullah said the saplings would take around three to four months to mature for harvesting. He expects to start selling the betel leaves at local markets by February or March 2027.
