Noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia) is native to Africa but flourishes in tropical climates, including the Indian subcontinent.

The fruit is gaining popularity in Bangladesh, notably in Jashore, Meherpur, and Gopalganj districts.

Known for its potent medicinal properties, Noni fruit is believed to boost the immune system.

Although many are still unfamiliar with Noni fruit juice, its health benefits have piqued the interest of food and pharmaceutical businesses, who are now bottling and marketing it for commercial sale.

At a recent tree fair in Cox’s Bazar, Noni plants were sold for Tk6,000, reflecting the growing interest in this unique fruit.
