Coleus, a colourful leafy plant, is popular for gardens and home corners due to its low maintenance requirements. Its light purple flowers add to its charm, making it a favorite among gardening enthusiasts. Scientifically named Plectranthus scutellarioides or Coleus blumeri, it is locally known as “Kailash” and is admired primarily for its strikingly decorative leaves.
