During the peak fishing season in the Bay of Bengal, local fishermen haul large quantities of various sea fish, particularly White Rupchanda.

The surge in supply has led to a noticeable decrease in prices, with medium-sized White Rupchanda now selling for Tk400-Tk450 at the Cox’s Bazar Fishery Ghat and local markets.

Known for its visual appeal and delectable taste, the White Rupchanda has become a popular choice for consumers.

Its affordability, coupled with its attractive appearance, has drawn crowds to local fish markets. Fishermen note that Rupchanda typically comes in four distinct species, and this variety is now widely available.
