Srikanta Bhattacharya, with his long mustache and serene demeanor, is a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Dhaka. Like many talented artists nationwide, his journey into painting was fueled by an enduring passion for art.

Now, Srikanta spends his days by the shores of Cox’s Bazar, capturing the faces of tourists in lifelike portraits.

He told Cox’s Bazar Life that he fell in love with the city, which brought him here. Over time, he transformed his passion into a livelihood and hoped to spend the rest of his life enjoying the simple pleasure of painting by the sea.
