Despite rough weather conditions, Cox’s Bazar beach has been packed with tourists over the weekend.

Thousands of tourists crowded popular spots like Kolatoli, Sugandha, and Laboni points, creating challenges for lifeguards responsible for ensuring their safety.

Mohammed Osman, in charge of Sea Safe Lifeguard operations, said that as the day progressed, the number of tourists steadily increased.

“We are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of everyone,” he added.

Despite a local cautionary signal no. 3 issued for Cox’s Bazar and three other seaports, the flow of tourists remained undeterred.

Many were seen joyfully enjoying their time on the beach, even though red flags were hoisted at several points as a safety precaution.

Lifeguards struggled to keep tourists from entering the water, as many ignored the warnings and continued to bathe in the sea.
