To further boost the tourism industry along the Bay of Bengal coastline, Cox’s Bazar recently introduced a new attraction called ‘Swapnatori.’
This offers tourists chances to enjoy the beauty of the sea. It has opened a new chapter in the tourism industry of Cox’s Bazar and has arrived with fresh excitement during the Durga Puja holidays.
A company named Farhan Express Tourism launched this wooden vessel, named “MV Swapnatori.”
The company’s owner, Hossain Islam Bahadur, stated that the boat can accommodate 146 passengers and offers two journey segments. In the morning, it departs from Nuniarchhara Ghat, circles Sonadia and Shaplapur points near Maheshkhali, and returns via Laboni point.
In the evening, it will depart from the Kostura Ghat on the Bakkhali River, traverse under the New Bridge, proceed towards Nazirartek and the newly constructed airport runway, circle Maheshkhali, and then return to the original location.
The cost per person is Tk700, and the package is Tk1,200 for two people.
He also stated that the boat has enough life jackets, life buoys, and fire extinguishing equipment to ensure safety and that tourist police and Ansar personnel will always be on board.
