Discussion Meeting Held on the Occasion of National Cooperative DayIn celebration of the 53rd National Cooperatives Day, the District Administration and District Cooperative Office held a discussion meeting and award ceremony in Cox’s Bazar today (November 2) on the theme “Building the Nation through Cooperatives, Towards an Equitable Bangladesh.”

The event was held in the Shaheed ATM Jafar Alam Conference Hall at the District Commissioner’s Office and featured District Commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin as the chief guest.

In his speech, the District Commissioner emphasized that cooperatives formed by members with a cooperative spirit can yield significant benefits.

He highlighted that a prosperous cooperative society contributes to social and economic stability within families and encourages entrepreneurs to work collaboratively within cooperatives.

Officials from various government departments, leaders of cooperative organizations, and members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement attended the event.

After the discussions, five cooperative members and societies received crests and certificates for their outstanding contributions to the cooperative sector.
