The Bangladesh Coast Guard recently organized a free medical camp on St. Martin’s Island, providing residents with healthcare services and essential medicines.

According to Coast Guard Headquarters’ Media Officer, Lieutenant Commander Khandaker Munif Taki, the medical camp was held on Saturday, November 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the Coast Guard ship Mansur Ali, anchored at the island.

Lieutenant Commander Taki stated, “The Bangladesh Coast Guard conducted this medical camp to offer healthcare support to the coastal community. Between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., our doctors and medical assistants provided free treatment and distributed essential medicines to over 200 underprivileged individuals, including children.”

Surgeon Lieutenant Commander Zakir Hossain, AMC, led the free medical services, which were a part of the Coast Guard’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities in remote coastal areas.
