As the effects of Cyclone Fengal in the Bay of Bengal have dissipated, the Meteorological Office lifted local cautionary signals no. 2 from all seaports, including Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, Mongla, and Payra.
The cyclone made landfall along the Tamil Nadu coast in India.
Assistant meteorologist Abdul Hannan confirmed the development from the Cox’s Bazar Meteorological Office.
As Cyclone Fengal lingered over the Bay of Bengal for several days, Bangladesh issued warning signals, first at no. 1 and later at no. 2.
However, the cyclone did not noticeably impact any part of Bangladesh.
