An eight-day awareness campaign focusing on dengue prevention, cleanliness, and reducing single-use plastics is currently underway in Cox’s Bazar. On Tuesday, the campaign reached its sixth day with a cleanup drive at Patuartek Beach along the Marine Drive.

During the drive, volunteers engaged with tourists and locals, spreading messages about preventing dengue and minimizing single-use plastics. The YASID Music volunteer group performed live music to boost morale, adding a festive touch to the event.

A team of 35 volunteers from various organizations in Cox’s Bazar participated in the initiative, supported by the Tourist Police from the Inani Zone of the Cox’s Bazar Region.

The Bangladesh Tourism Board, the Cox’s Bazar District Administration, the Cox’s Bazar Municipality, the Cox’s Bazar Tourist Police, UN Volunteers Bangladesh, and YASID launched the campaign on November 29.
