The ISEC Tourism Sector Support Implementation Partnership, a key initiative under the “Leaving No One Behind: Improving Skills and Economic Opportunities for Cox’s Bazar” project, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EMBOLDEN Bangladesh, a youth-led non-profit organization, to promote sustainable tourism and empower local communities in Cox’s Bazar.
Enroute International Limited, in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and funded by Global Affairs Canada, implements the project.
This strategic collaboration underscores a shared commitment to creating an inclusive and sustainable tourism ecosystem that benefits marginalized and underprivileged communities, with a particular focus on women and youth.
By partnering with EMBOLDEN Bangladesh, the ISEC Tourism Sector Support Implementation Partnership aims to foster community engagement and innovation and create dignified economic opportunities in Cox’s Bazar’s growing tourism sector.
Key representatives from both organizations attended the MoU signing. From the ISEC Tourism Partnership Programme, Intijamul Islam, Deputy Team Leader, and Md. Maksudul Haque, Project Coordinator, represented the partnership. In attendance from EMBOLDEN Bangladesh were Injamamul Haque, President; Shafkat Shariar, General Secretary; and Saima Taher Shovon, Training and Development Secretary.
