The Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf-Marine Drive Road Development Project has scheduled the start of repair work on the old Bailey bridge at Rejukhal (17th km mark). Therefore, between December 25, 2024, and January 24, 2025, we will suspend all vehicular movement over the bridge daily from 10 PM to 6 AM.
We have asked travelers and transport operators to use alternative routes during this period. The Roads and Highways Department of Cox’s Bazar has expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience and seeks public cooperation in completing the repair works.
The department aims to enhance the safety and efficiency of transportation on Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf Road following the bridge repair. The executive engineer of the Roads and Highways Department assured that the project will be completed on schedule, minimizing disruptions.
We advise commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and adhere to alternative travel arrangements to avoid delays.
