Encircling Cox’s Bazar and flowing into the sea, the Bakkhali River is a vital lifeline for the region. From the deep sea, large fishing boats navigate through this river to reach the bustling Fishery Ghat. Trawlers, laden with salt, frequently accompany them as they navigate up and down the river. Expansive mangrove forests adorn the riverbanks of the Bakkhali, contributing to its ecological and scenic value. Beyond the allure of its beaches, Cox’s Bazar offers the tranquil beauty of the Bakkhali River, which also attracts tourists. These photos were captured from the Bakkhali River Bridge.
