The Teknaf Upazila Boys’ Football Team emerged victorious in the Boys’ Division of the National Gold Cup Football Tournament (under-17) 2025. In a thrilling final, they defeated the Cox’s Bazar Municipality Football Team in a penalty shootout to claim the prestigious title.
High drama and excitement characterized the match on Friday. Cox’s Bazar Municipality took an early lead in the first half, but Teknaf staged an incredible comeback in the second half to equalize. After the regular time match ended 1-1, the title was decided in a nerve-wracking penalty shootout, where Teknaf maintained their composure to secure the win.
This triumph cements Teknaf Upazila’s strong presence in Cox’s Bazar district football. The tournament organizers remarked that such competitions serve as a vital platform for nurturing the country’s young football talent and shaping their future.
