The coastal villages of Teknaf have witnessed a bumper cucumber harvest this season. Cucumber farming is gaining popularity among local farmers due to its minimal investment and high profitability.
The large-sized cucumbers fulfill local market demands and are being transported to Cox’s Bazar, Chattogram, and other parts of the country.
Cucumber cultivation has significantly increased in the region compared to last year. Encouraged by its low production costs and lucrative returns, many new farmers have ventured into cucumber farming this year, anticipating substantial profits.
This thriving yield is a promising sign for both the local economy and the agricultural landscape of Teknaf.
