Aiming to empower women and foster social change, Diva Organisation, a women-led voluntary group in Cox’s Bazar, has officially started its journey with 50 women volunteers.
The inauguration was on Sunday (February 15) at the Youth Development Department Office in Cox’s Bazar’s Link Road area through a Volunteer Orientation Program.
Tasnija Noor and Sadia Habib moderated the event, while Nowshava Mokter Siam, founder of Diva Organisation, presided over the session. Several distinguished guests delivered speeches, including Moazzem Hossain, Deputy Director of the Youth Development Department, Cox’s Bazar; Mohammad Mohiuddin, CEO of CHRDF; Kaiser Hamid, Founder of YASID; Kafil Uddin, CEO of YOSD; Himel Barua Himu, Founder of Tarunner Avijatrik, Abdur Rashid Manik, Journalist of the Cox’s Bazar Life; Jimran Mohammad Shaiak, Media Coordinator of Youth Net Global, Tarekur Rahman, Founder of YES Bangladesh; and Mohammad Riaz, Founder of Swapnotori.
Speaking on the occasion, Nowshaba Moktar Siam stated, “Since 2019, Diva has been working for the development of female entrepreneurs, combating cyberbullying, and providing medical aid to underprivileged women and children. With 50 dedicated women volunteers, we are now set to expand our impact further.”
Representatives from various voluntary organizations in Cox’s Bazar attended the event.
