Every day, hundreds of trawlers return to the shores of Nazirartek Beach Point in Cox’s Bazar, bringing back their catch from the deep sea. Small boats appear as soon as they dock, carrying steaming hot meals for the weary fishermen.

After days at sea, fishermen eagerly await a warm, hearty meal. To meet this demand, some local vendors prepare rice, lentils, khichuri, and chicken curry in large pots and sell them directly from their boats to the returning crews.

Locals say these meals are available for as little as Tk50-Tk80, making them an affordable and satisfying option for hardworking fishermen. This tradition of boat-to-boat food sales has become an integral part of Nazirartek’s coastal life, blending sustenance with the rhythm of the sea.
