Chief Adviser (CA) Professor Muhammad Yunus today greeted the countrymen and all Muslims worldwide on the eve of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a message, the chief adviser said, “On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, I extend my heartfelt greeting to the countrymen and the Muslim Ummah.”
He said soul is purified through self-restraint in this holy month of fasting and restraint.
“It is a wonderful opportunity to gain the blessing, nearness and forgiveness of the Almighty Allah,” he added.
Dr Yunus said fasting uniquely establishes mutual sympathy, harmony and brotherhood among the rich and poor.
Imbued with the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan, he urged everyone to avoid indulgences, jealousy, hatred, disorder, and conflict and protect the sanctity of Ramadan by showing self-control, patience, and restraint in all walks of life.
Along with fasting, Dr Yunus called upon all to recite the Quran and pray and worship this month.
“May Almighty Allah grant us the ability to implement the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan in our national life,” he said.
