In response to the recent incidents of child abuse, rape, and murder across the country—including the tragic case of young Achia—Khelaghar Cox’s Bazar District has announced a protest program, “Khelagharer Protirodh” (Khelaghar Protest), to be held on March 12 at 3:30 PM at Cox’s Bazar Municipality premises. The demonstration aims to demand justice and capital punishment for the perpetrators.
Khelaghar has called upon its members, leaders, well-wishers, and parents to join the protest with their children, raising a collective voice against child rape, murder, exploitation, and abuse. In a joint statement, Khelaghar Cox’s Bazar District President Subimal Pal Panna and General Secretary M. Jasim Uddin emphasized, “Ensuring the safety of children and bringing the culprits to swift and exemplary justice requires the active participation of parents and conscious citizens.”
They further stated, “Violence and abuse against children are alarming signs of a deteriorating society. To overcome this crisis, we must stand united and ensure strict punishment for offenders.”
Organizers hope this protest will raise awareness about child protection and the need for justice.
