Interim Government Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited the 253-acre Khurushkul Climate Refugee Rehabilitation Project near Cox’s Bazar city.
During the visit, Project Director Lieutenant Colonel Mirazul Islam briefed the Chief Adviser on the project’s progress and outlined plans to rehabilitate 4,218 families across 129 residential buildings.
Following the inspection, Dr. Yunus discussed Cox’s Bazar’s tourism and development prospects, where professionals from various sectors shared their insights.
Earlier in the day, he arrived in Cox’s Bazar alongside UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Later, at around 5 PM, the Chief Adviser is scheduled to visit the Rohingya camps and join Secretary-General Guterres and thousands of Rohingya refugees for a ‘Mega Iftar’ gathering.
